A MAN has been banned from the roads for more than two years after driving while disqualified.

William John Gardiner, 35, of Palfrey Heights, Brantham, was caught behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Corsa in Clacton on February 17 while being disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence.

He was also driving without third party insurance.

Gardiner admitted the offences when he appeared at Basildon Magistrates' Court.

He was banned from the roads for 25 months and was also ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
