A BUSY road in Dovercourt was closed following issues with water pipes in the area.
The B1352 was closed in both directions at the High Street between Heron Way and Kingsway after an incident on Friday afternoon.
There were reports of heavy traffic due to the road closures and flooding.
Essex County Council's traffic control team said on social media just before 8pm the incident had been cleared.
Affinity Water was approached for comment.
