TWO major roads in Southend city centre are set to shut next week while works take place.
Tylers Avenue and Clifftown Road will both be closed off near to the High Street as BT carries out works next Thursday.
Tylers Avenue will be shut off from its junction with Chichester Road, leading towards Clifftown Road.
Clifftown Road is set to be closed from its junction with the High Street and Tylers Avenue.

During this time, drivers will be unable to park, stop, wait, load or unload on Clifftown Road from this junction to outside the Southend Central c2c station.
These closures will be in place from 10.30pm on Thursday, May 16, until 4.30am on Friday, May 17.
The alternative route will be via Chichester Road, Queensway, London Road (A13) Milton Road, Cambridge Road, and Scratton Road.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closures.
