WALLINGTON-HAYES Gerald Albert M.B.E. Former Mayor Sadly passed away on Sunday 8th January, aged 86. A prominent member of the local community, town councillor, responsible for civic amenities such as sea defences, swimming pool, skateboard park and many projects for school children. Husband of 64 years to Peggy, Father of Sandra & Christopher, Grandfather of Catherine, Jeremy, Laura & Hannah and Great Grandad to Lewis. Funeral to be held at Oakfield Wood Cemetery, Wrabness on Monday 6th February at 11.30am. No flowers by request, but donations if desired to 'R.N.L.I (Harwich Branch)' c/o Harwich & Dovercourt Independent Funeral Service, 8 Oakley Road, Dovercourt, CO12 4QR (01255) 553398 A memorial service will be held at All Saints Church, Dovercourt at a later date.
