Classes, Courses & Workshops
This 10 week course with tutor Roger Cooke is about the development of our parliamentary system.
The English Parliament was the only medieval parliament to survive into modern times. We will examine its origins, how it survived and emerged as the most successful form of government in early modern times, becoming the envy of the 19th century world.
We will conclude by considering demands for reform of Parliament which echo right down to our present times.
