PIPES, fiddles, whistles and banjos are just a selection of instrument which will be used to fill the walls of the Electric Palace with traditional Irish folk music next week.

Belfast-born four piece Craobh Rua, which translates to red branch, will be bringing their distinctive Celtic brand of music to Harwich as part of the St Patrick’s Tour on March 12.

The band regard themselves as true ambassadors or Irish music and come up with unique arrangements to give traditional tunes a modern twist.

Tickets cost £8 plus the price of membership and the gig starts at 8pm.
