KEYBOARD wizard turned professional grump Rick Wakeman brings his one-man show to Clacton tonight.

He served several stints with legendary prog rockers Yes where his blistering playing became a key part of their unique sound, and released a series of solo albums highlighting his dazzling virtuosity before bagging a job as a Watchdog presenter and appearing on Grumpy Old Men.

His illustrious career saw collaborations with Cat Stephens, Elton John and the late David Bowie, and Rick has just released piano versions of Life on Mars and Space Oddity to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

His rich and varied life led to his one-man show packed with hilarious anecdotes, which became a sell-out hit at the Edinburgh Fringe and won rave reviews.

The Music and Anecdotal Wit of an Old Age Pensioner comes to the West Cliff Theatre tonight at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £30 from the box office on 01255 433344.
