SOME of the biggest names of the Sixties music join forces for an explosive night of nostalgia later this week.

Herman’s Hermits, Chris Farlowe, Love Affair frontman Steve Ellis, Union Gap UK and New Amen Corner take to the stage at Clacton's West Cliff Theatre in the Sensational Sixties Experience.

Audiences can step back in time as they bands rattle through more than 25 hits from the Sixties.

Herman’s Hermits sold an astonishing 75million records worldwide and chalked up more than 20 hit singles, including I’m Into Something Good, Henry VIII, and Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter.

Chris Farlowe started out with the Thunderbirds in the late Fifties and went on to record classics such as Out Of Time, and Handbags and Glad Rags, which was covered by Rod Stewart and the Stereophonics.

Steve Ellis was just 17 when Love Affair topped the UK charts with Everlasting Love in 1968, while the Union Gap enjoyed number one success in Britain with Young Girl.
