GILBERT and Sullivan's Trial By Jury gets the Clacton Choral Society treatment this Saturday.
The comic operetta is a light-hearted satire in one act, with the entire libretto sung by the cast and no spoken dialogue.
A ludicrous plot and toe-tapping melodies guarantee an enjoyable evening's entertainment.
The concert of love songs kicks off with three Gilbert and Sullivan choruses - The Mikado's Brightly Dawns Our Wedding Day and Braid The Raven Hair, and A Regular Royal Queen from The Gondoliers.
Tenor Paul Bloomfield will also perform some solo arias.
The concert is directed by Gilli Dulieu, with Peter Humphrey on piano, and takes place at St James' Church, in Tower Road, at 5pm.
Tickets are £6, including programme, on 01255 221511 or from debbietccs@gmail.com and on the door.
