Bird twitchers descended on Mistley when a rare bird was spotted in the area.
Hundreds of bird watching enthusiasts made their way to the Walls at Mistley after the long-billed Dowitcher was seen.
Mark Nowers, an RSPB warden, said: "I have been looking at birds for 23 years and it's the rarest one I have ever found.
"It's like scoring the winning goal at Wembley."
Mr Nowers said he first saw the bird last Friday when he went to check on some other birds, black-tailed Godwits.
