A WELCOME sign to a scenic village has had a spruce by some willing volunteers.
Mistley’s painted marker on the war memorial island by Mistley Towers has been repainted and re-gilded by parish councillors Derek Bell and Ian Tucker.
With help from a fork lift truck from Rose Builders, the sign was put back in place. The war memorial was also cleaned of mould by Andrew Wood of Wood for Stone ready for the Remembrance Day wreath laying.
