A TOWN’S Christmas market is set to be a cracker now a tree has been donated.
Fred Smith Christmas Trees in Boxted donated the 18 foot tall tree for Manningtree’s Magical Christmas Market which will take place on Friday December 7.
Organiser Jenine Collier, chairman of the Manningtree Chamber of Commerce, said: “We have a beautiful tree now.
“I put a plea out on Twitter because we did not have a tree and Fred Smith stepped in.
“He’s a great man and offered his full support.”
Mrs Collier said 50 stalls selling local produce and street entertainers will feature at the event.
