Pub reaches competition final

A PUB is one step closer to winning a £5,000 makeover.
The Old Court House Inn, in Harwich Road, Great Bromley, has reached the national final of the Paint and a Pint competition.
Run by Glidden Trade if it wins not only will the pub be given £5,000 for a professional re-decoration but also cash for a re-opening party to celebrate when the work is done.
Vinny Ranzulla, from the Old Court House Inn, said: “Winning the competition will give our pub a much-needed boost and will be a fantastic way to renovate our business when money is particularly tight.
“A fresh lick of paint will make such a difference to our pub’s image and will help to attract more custom.”
The winners will be announced later this month.
