TOP level talks are to take place in Whitehall next month after Hutchison Ports (UK) Ltd withdrew its latest application over the development of Harwich’s Bathside Bay.
Representatives from Tendring Council will join those from the company and travel to London for discussions with the Government over the situation.
A final date has yet to be set but it is expected the meeting will take place towards the end of December.
Hutchison Port has withdrawn its application to build temporary works at Bathside Bay before upgrading the A120 as it had previously agreed.
The move came after the Government announced last month that it had decided to stage a Public Inquiry over the changes.
Tendring leader Neil Stock said that the development is vital to the economy of Tendring and its regeneration plans.
