FUNDRAISING youngsters put on an all singing all dancing display in a school’s talent show to raise money for charity.
Pupils at Manningtree High School showcased Manningtree’s Got Talent on last Friday in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for good causes.
The show was part of the school’s annual charity week in which students identify charities to fundraise for before performing in the talent show.
Chris Hayes, assistant Headteacher at Manningtree High School, said money was still being collected but he hoped to beat last year’s total of £4300.
He said: “The students were looking forward to it a lot and there has been a buzz around the school.
“Everyone wanted to give it their best and it was an electric atmosphere.”
Students battled it out during heats on Tuesday and Wednesday for a place in Friday’s final, which was won by a cheer leading dance group of 27 students.
