MORE than four million black bags will be delivered to homes across Tendring in the New Year.

The bags – and a recycling calendar for the next 12 months – will be delivered to more than 60,000 homes from January 7.

Tendring Council’s waste contractors Veolia Environmental Services will have a dedicated crew on the job and a council officer will be out to make spot checks.

Nick Turner, cabinet member for the environment, said: “Homes which receive a weekly kerbside collection of waste will be receiving their 52 black bags and their recycling calendar between January 7 and the end of March.”

Householder are also being asked to put their bags of waste out before 7am on the day of collection.
