A FORMER Clacton teacher and mum-of-three has died, aged just 30, after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

Kerry Farrow, 30, had worked as a science teacher at both Clacton County High School – where she had also been headgirl – and at Colbayns High School in Clacton, where she was head of key stage four science.

She left teaching in 2008 for the birth of her first child, Noah, and twins Florence and Zachary followed in September 2009.

A year later Mrs Farrow launched an award-winning blog, Multiplemummy.com.
The site became a massive success and had more than 220,000 visits. It told stories of motherhood, and discussed numerous pregnancy issues.

Mrs Farrow won two awards at the National Blog Awards in London - one for the Best Family Blog and one for the Most Innovative Blog.

But by then, Mrs Farrow had suffered a brain haemorrhage and husband Nick, who is assistant headteacher at Manningtree High School, went to the ceremony to accept the awards on her behalf.

Mr Farrow paid tribute to his wife and said that she was much-loved wherever she worked and whatever community she was part of.

He said: “She was a role model and was truly inspirational. Kerry sadly suffered a massive brain haemorrhage which she fought bravely for five months – as only she could. She will be sorely missed by so many people.”

A private funeral takes place on January 4 in the morning followed by a public thanksgiving service at St Mary’s Church, Wivenhoe, at 3pm.
