Council leader wades in on Ardleigh flooding row
A COUNCIL boss has called for a meeting to come up with a plan to resolve flooding problems which have seen a family home go under water twice in eight months.
Tim and Heidi Woodgett and their three children were forced out of their home in May after a 12-hour record rainfall caused £50,000 worth of damage to their Grade II listed home, in Colchester Road, Ardleigh.
Shortly after moving home following nearly eight months out while repairs were being carried out, floods struck again on Friday, December 21, leaving the family pleading with authorities and agencies to find a solution.
Now Peter Halliday, Tendring District Council leader, has called for representatives of Essex County Council, Anglian Water and the Environment Agency to meet with the Woodgetts.
