Colchester Institute student repulsed by 'brain food' found in KFC
8:00am Monday 7th January 2013 in News By Helen Barnett
A STUDENT on his lunch break had an offal experience when he found what he thought was a chicken brain in his KFC meal.
Horrified Ibrahim Langoo has told the Daily Mail he feels so repulsed by what happened he will never eat in the chain again – despite being offered food vouchers as an apology.
The Colchester Institute musical theatre student found what appeared to be a shrivelled brain inside a piece of chicken while munching his way through a meal at the branch in High Street, Colchester.
KFC claim the suspect snack wasn’t a brain and instead was a kidney that hadn’t been removed when preparing the food it labels ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’.
Ibrahim, 19, was sharing the meal with his course mate Laura Canning, 19, and said he had already eaten one piece of chicken when he found the offal.
A spokesperson for KFC said: “We always try to ensure the highest standards in all of our restaurants and although we haven't received the product, it appears from a photograph that unfortunately on this occasion a kidney, and not a brain as claimed, was not removed in the preparation process.
"We're very sorry about Mr Langoo's experience and while there was no health risk, we agree it was unsightly. We will be carrying out a full investigation and providing him with a gesture of goodwill."

It´s not often that this sort of thing gets through, but have a look at the origins of what´s in your bucket, because it ain´t pretty!

And a lot of people, especially children, eat chicken nuggets. But how many of them know exactly what goes into a chicken nugget? They prefer not to ask.

I was in my local Chinese the other week. I could see in the kitchen, this old woman transferring chips from a chopping board type thing to the deep fat fryer. One chip fell on the floor, and without even hesitating to think about it, she picked it up and dropped it in the fryer. I know fats hot and will probably burn off all the rat droppings on the floor but still, she could at least have wiped it on her pinny first, three second rule and all that!
