Folk shows for the Electric Palace
2:00pm Wednesday 9th January 2013 in News
FOLK will be hitting the Harwich stage for a full season of concerts in 2013 for the first time.
After a successful trial of shows last year the Electric Palace in King’s Head Street has launched a full programme of folk events for the coming year.
Starting in February the palace, one of the oldest purpose built cinemas in the country, will host shows including a World Music Choir.
Mick Verrier, one of the organisers of the events, said: “The folk team at the Electric Palace is proud to reflect on our first series of concerts and excited as we contemplate this year’s forthcoming events.
“Now for 2013, and what a year it promises to be.
“On February 13 we welcome Northern Harmony, the acclaimed World Music choir based in Vermont, USA - this will be their third visit to Harwich but their first to the Electric Palace."
