CONCERNS have been raised after parishioner’s gardens were flooded over Christmas.
Bradfield Parish Council has appealed to Anglian Water to investigate problem drains after three gardens in Wix Road and Heath Road, Bradfield, were swamped last month.
Dave Tucker, clerk to Bradfield Parish Council, one of the residents affected by the flooding, said the drains failed three times over the festive period.
He said: “We will write to them expressing concern over the drains because they can’t do anything to stop it from flooding again – it’s not good enough."
A spokesman for Anglian Water said the flood was a result of months of heavy rain and engineers worked around the clock to keep pumps working.
He said: “We are sorry for the disruption this caused customers, especially over the festive period.”
