Friends spice things up with new Dovercourt business
3:00pm Sunday 20th January 2013 in News
A PAIR of friends are spicing things up in Dovercourt by opening an Indian takeaway.
Owners Mohammed Ali and Abdul Jalil have invited customers to korma on down and sample their Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine at their newly opened takeaway, Thaal of Spices, Main Road, Dovercourt.
The pair, who started trading on New Year’s Day, have been friends for eight years.
Mr Ali, 51, who will take orders and wait on customers, said although it is early days for the business he is confident it will be successful.
He said: “I feel confident. “At the moment we can’t say how it will go but give it a few months.
“We have both worked in the industry a while now and I hope it will be a success.
“We wanted to work for ourselves so I’m looking forward to being my own boss."
