Manningtree market proposal rejected
7:30am Thursday 24th January 2013 in News
A PROPOSAL to jointly run a town market was rejected by town councillors.
Tendring Council is currently on the lookout for a lease-holder for Manningtree Market.
It had proposed Manningtree town council help run the market in the interim period before a new boss is found.
But Manningtree town council unanimously rejected the plans at its meeting last Thursday.
At the meeting, councillor Mark Morsley said: “I have first-hand experience of getting involved in interim measure in the past and I think we should have nothing to do with the running of the market.”
