Allotment landlord behind eviction notice speaks out
AN ALLOTMENT owner behind a shocking eviction notice has spoken out as to why he is kicking off his tenants.
Gabor Glausiusz issued an eviction letter to Mistley Parish Council last month giving allotment holders in Shrublands Road until February 22 to get off the land.
Mr Glausiusz wants to build 24 bungalows on land further down the site, near Furze Hill.
He claims he had an agreement with Mistley Parish Council which would allow gardeners to stay on their plots if the council supported his planning application.
But Mistley Parish Council objected to the plans because the green belt development would put houses too close to the village hall and could threaten nearby wildlife.
Now Mr Galusiusz is throwing allotment holders off the site, adding that he told them last year by displaying posters on the site.
