Injured man lies in street
A ROAD was closed when an injured cyclist fell off his bike and had to lie in the street until the ambulance arrived.
The man, thought to be in his 40s, fell in Highfield Avenue, Dovercourt, just after 5.30pm on Wednesday, February 6.
Neighbours called the emergency services and the police blocked the road for a short while.
He was taken to Colchester General Hospital. His injuries were serious but not life threatening.
