Question time for councillors

Question time for councillors Question time for councillors

RESIDENTS can quiz their councillors  to get answers on the issues that concern them.

Tendring Council will be in the hot seat for the Question Time event on Tuesday, February 19, in a bid to get into the communities rather than expect residents to travel to the council in Clacton or Weeley.

The same event takes place at the Venture Centre in Lawford on May 29.

It is the second of six meetings to be staged around Tendring over the next four months.

If they prove a success they could be repeated in other towns and villages later in the year.

Leader of the Tendring Council Peter Halliday said: “Harwich is one of our key areas for inward investment and growth and there are many issues I am sure people will be keen to come along and discuss with us.

“We want to be open and transparent with the public we represent and we will be there to take their questions and provide answers.

“It is about us going out to meet our residents on their own patch and I hope they take up this offer.”

The meeting takes place at the Park Pavilion in Barrack Lane, Dovercourt at 7pm until 9pm.

watch this event get hijacked and ruined by Labour supporters with questions given to them by Labour councillors

Any problems in Harwich have been the fruit of all parties both at town, district and county levels. A great many decisions are also made by the unelected beaurocrats that skulk in the halls of power with very little accountability!
