BRAZEN burglars carried a 42 inch television through a town centre before dumping it in an alleyway.

Two men are believed to have carried to TV, a Sky box and a laptop from a burgled house in Beacon Hill Avenue, Harwich, down Barrack Lane, Main Road and Park Road, Dovercourt.

Police believe they may also have wandered through the Mayor’s Gardens.

The items were found by a member of the public in an alleyway between Park Road and Grafton Road.

It is thought raiders broke in between 4.30pm and 7pm on Monday, February 11.

Anyone who saw a large flat screen TV and other items being carried through the town should contact DS Tim Coyles at Clacton CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Two men aged 28 and 37, and both from Harwich, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and were still in custody on Monday night.
