Children enjoy half term fun
12:00pm Sunday 24th February 2013 in News By Helen Barnett
DARING youngsters aimed for top marks when they tried their hand at archery and competed for a Masterchef title as part of half term holiday fun.
A host of school holiday activity was enjoyed by children across Harwich and Manningtree this week.
At Chase Lane Primary School’s Sunny Club, children aged from three to 11 spent Tuesday, February 19, baking cakes, pastry pizza and biscuits.
Children then decorated their cakes to see who would become the winner of Masterchef.
At Manningtree Sports Centre archery had children queuing up in droves on Wednesday, February 20.
It proved so popular at the club Tendring Council, which runs the facility, had to put on extra sessions.
Meanwhile at Mayflower Primary School in Dovercourt, year three pupils performed a pirate play before making props and writing their own script based on Captain Bramble on Wednesday.
