DANCERS had a special treat when they were given an urban dance lesson by a famous performer.
Nearly 60 youngsters aged five to 13 were taught hip hop and street dance by Renata Carvalho, as part of a dance taster session at Debbie Millar School of Dance.
Renata has danced for Rihanna and One Direction and was in the Olympic opening ceremony. She has her own dance urban cheerleading academy in London called Drop the Pom.
Children learnt dance routines to Rihanna’s Where Have You Been? And internet craze ‘Harlem Shake’ by Baauer.
The taster session on Tuesday, February 19, also saw youngsters sampling ballet, tap, disco, cheerleading, bokwa and zumbatonic.
