TOURISTS stepping off the ferries will be given a helping hand with the installation of train station help point.

Greater Anglia has added the telephone at Harwich International train station to aid commuters confused about their travel.

It connects to the National Rail Enquiries service to find information about train running, connections or onward transport options, including bus services or taxis. In an emergency, messages can also be passed on.

The investment is aimed at offering better information to passengers, especially at unstaffed stations. Greater Anglia said the line can be invaluable during disruption.
