Villagers need to demand better broadband

BETTER broadband could come to a village, but residents need to register their interest first.

Little Oakley has a chance to take a slice of £530million of Government funding to increase its internet speeds.

The village is thought to have the slowest broadband in Tendring, and one of the slowest speeds in the country.

Homes receive less than 1.5Mb/s currently but the Government wants all residents to have at least 2 Mb/s by 2015.

Little Oakley councillor Tom Howard has arranged for postcards to be delivered to villagers so they can register their interest with Tendring Council.
