Sailing club submits new hut plans
A SAILING club has submitted new plans for a controversial hut on the banks of the river Stour.
Stour Sailing Club has revised its application for its new starting hut and storage shed after initial plans were met with uproar from the community.
Residents feared the hut, which was black and five meters tall, would block views of the river Stour from Wherry Corner.
The new plans are a meter shorter – but campaigners say they are no different to revised drawings they voted against in an emergency meeting in December.
They are calling on the public to voice their objections.
