Family forced to use park toilets
A YOUNG family has to use park public toilets because their landlord has not fixed their sewage-filled bathroom.
The landlord of a home in High Street, Dovercourt, has been struck off the rental register at Oakpark Property after frustrating the letting agent with his lack of action.
Jamie Brooker, 24, said he and his fiancé Jade Cooper, 22, and their two children Jayjay, seven and Jermarion, four, have been having disgusting problems at their home in Harrison House for 18 months.
He said their two bedroom house is more like a one bedroom bedsit after having to shut themselves off from the ground floor.
With sewage coming up from the toilet and bath, the family were forced to use public toilets five minutes walk away in Cliff Park. They had only moved back into the property two weeks ago after builders fixed flooring which had rotted away due to damp and a leak.
