Council needs evidence to stop dog fouling

FED up residents have been told to report dog fouling offenders to stamp out the dirty habit.
Tendring Council said it is keen to prosecute dog owners guilty of the “horrendous” act.
Frustrations about Harwich pet owners were raised at a public meeting with Tendring Council.
Tendring Council leader Peter Halliday, said: “Dog mess is a problem in many areas of the district. We do our upmost, we provide dog bins and we do try to prosecute.
“We will send our dog wardens out but we need the assistance of residents. It is something we are keep to stamp out. It is horrendous when you are out walking.”
