A MUM is running the London Marathon to raise money for a charity which played a part in bringing up her son.

Teresa Ablewhite, 48, is doing a runner with her school work colleague Lynne Miles, 50, to raise cash for the National Autistic Society and disabled sports charity Get Kids Going.

The pair, who both live in Oak Ridge, Little Oakley, and work at the Adult Community Learning Centre, thought now was the right time to take on the 26.2 mile challenge.

Teresa’s son James, 20, is diagnosed autistic and said the National Autistic Society’s website has proven a valuable tool throughout his life.
