Restaurant owner joins the gravy train
A RESTAURANT with a new owner is going back to basics with traditional pub grub.
Al Fresco, in Kingsway, has opened to the public under new ownership.
Stephen Payne said he wanted to serve classic favourites such as pie and liver and bacon.
"I want to turn it back to traditional home-cooked food and hope the local people will support us," he said.
"It’s a shame to have a place like this sitting empty in deterioration."
