FEARS have been raised police cannot rush to emergencies from their station because a road surface is so terrible.

Angry residents claim Mistley police, based in New Road, are being forced to creep to call outs for fear of loose chippings on the road hitting parked cars and pedestrians.

Essex County Council resurfaced the road last autumn but it has deteriorated rapidly and needs to be covered again.

Drivers have been counting the cost to their vehicles and said the gravel has now become a danger to pedestrians and cyclists.

Were do you get this crap. NO veachal car or van should go over the recomended speed limits on theas roads The speed limit are set to the safest speed recomended for the roads. The diferance in taverling at them or recklisly driving at more than the recomended speed is seconds .travaling from Mistly to Manningtree bracking all the laws of the road would only be a few seconds, but would put the public at great risk.
