Mothers and their children put their dancing shoes on to enjoy a free fitness class in aid of charity on Mother’s day.

The Debbie Millar School of Dance hosted a Bokwa taster session for mums and their children on March 10 at the Venture Centre in Bromley Road, Lawford.

Entry was free but donations were collected for Comic Relief with £48 raised.

Ms Millar said: “We were pleased with the amount of people that turned out since it was Mother’s day. We all had good fun.”

The new Bokwa fitness craze involves moving feet in the shape of numbers and letters to create dance moves and is for all ages.

Another free event is to be held to raise money for Comic Relief on Friday March 15 at the Ardleigh Hall Leisure Club, Dedham.

The event will take place from 7:30-8:30pm and is for all with those taking part welcome to come in fancy dress.

Pupils at the Debbie Millar School of Dance will also be coming to dance classes on Friday in fancy dress and pyjamas to raise money for charity.

Ms Millar said: “We would like to raise as much money as possible.”
