BRITAIN'S bonkers weather saw amateur forecasters reaching for their records as temperatures plummeted earlier this week.
Brenda and Colin Knight, from Ramsey, has been monitoring the weather every day for 14 years.
Monday was the coldest day in March since they started keeping records with the midday temperature only just managing to creep above zero.
Exactly a year ago Tendring in was basking in a mini heatwave.
On March 11, 2012, the retired couple saw temperatures hit a sizzling 17 degrees - 62 Fahrenheit - in their back garden.
