COOKING is hot stuff for curry-loving youngsters at Harwich Community Primary School.

Budding masterchefs joined in a national healthy cooking challenge with thousands of other young cooks at schools across the country.

The pint-sized gourmets are all members of the school's Let's Get Cooking club.

They rustled up a mouthwatering chicken korma and a veggie option for non meat-eaters.

For 90 minutes they measured, weighed, chopped, diced and sliced their ingredients to create their culinary masterpiece.

"They love curry," said club co-ordinator Gill Burton.

"There are some quite sophisticated palates and kormas aren't excessively hot.
