Victim 'safe' after being plucked from water at Felixstowe docks

HARWICH lifeboat was called to help rescue a man in the sea at Felixstowe docks.

Thames Coastguard was alerted at 7.20pm last night and Harwich RNLI was called into action.

But by the time they arrived the man had already been plucked from the sea by onlookers.

A coastguard spokesman said: "The person was recovered from the water safe and well and taken to a waiting ambulance in Felixstowe docks."

No further details about the victim have been released.
