A SPECIAL tribute has been paid to a champion of council house tenants who died suddenly last month.
A moment’s silence was held for Vickie Williams, from Dovercourt, at Tendring Council's full meeting on Tuesday.
Mrs Williams died in hospital in April after suffering a massive cardiac haemorrhage aged 68.
She was chairman of the Tendring Council Tenant’s Panel for five years.
She served on the panel for almost ten years and took over the chairman role in 2008, holding the post until the time of her death.
Paul Honeywood, cabinet member for housing said: “During her period as chairman of the panel she worked tirelessly with the council to ensure that tenants’ views were heard and represented during the decision making processes.”
