Council criticised after failing to send letters in large print
2:00pm Friday 13th September 2013 in News
A BLIND woman has criticised a council after it failed to send her letters in larger print – despite promising to do so.
Tendring Council wrote to Susan Henshall, of Maple Close, Dovercourt, asking if she wanted future letters in large print.
Miss Henshall was born with ten per cent vision in her left eye but can still read large type.
“I was sent a letter by Tendring Council in 2012 to see if I wanted large print,” she said.
“But it has only happened once since I asked for large print."
A Tendring Council spokesman said: “We apologise on behalf of the council. We have clearly made an error."
