Tendring Council are holding surgeries in Jaywick, Brightlingsea and Weeley on a first come, first served basis but residents need to book an appointment in advance.
The first event is at Jaywick Community Centre on October 8 between 9.30am and 2.30pm, followed by one at Brightlingsea Town Council Offices on October 11 between 9.30am and 4.30pm and finally at the council’s Weeley office in the afternoon of October 15.
The wardens can deal with around 40 pooches each timeand cabinet member for environment and coast protection Nick Turner has urged owners to seize this opportunity.
“It will be law from 2016 that all dogs must be micro-chipped and this is a chance to get in first,” he said.
