PLANS for 150 new homes in Lawford have been given the go-ahead.
Developers Rose Builders have been given permission for outline plans to build a new estate between Cox’s Hill and Manningtree High School.
Tendring Council’s planning committee backed the application however raised concerns over the speed limit on Cox’s Hill.
The application also includes land for business use and would provide alms-style houses for young buyers. School bus parking for Manningtree High School will be provided and there will be 2.6 hectares of community open space which would include a children’s play area.
Tendring Council’s planning boss, Carlo Gugliemli, said the application was a 'no brainer'.
