Ambulance trust withdraws foundation status bid
2:14pm Wednesday 25th September 2013 in News
THE East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is withdrawing its current Foundation Trust application and will not be reapplying until improvements have been made to the service patients receive.
Dr. Geoffrey Harris OBE said: “I am focussed on patients and improving our service to them.
"Transforming our services and becoming a high performing organisation will take time, but it is the most important challenge to address.”
At the Trust’s public Board meeting it was announced that the Foundation Trust application will be revisited once the Trust is providing sustainable high quality services, operating efficiently and effectively and the organisation is developed and fit for purpose.
In the meantime the Trust will continue to recruit Foundation Trust members and involve them in the ambulance service and how it is developing.
