Former chairman apologises over "disgusting" immigration tweet

A FORMER council chairman has been forced to apologise after claiming a movie featuring gun-toting vigilante murderers held the key to tackling immigration.
Tory district councillor Danny Mayzes, who represents Clacton’s Rush Green ward, used Twitter to comment on the ultra-violent film Machete.
The Tendring and Colchester Minority Ethnic Partnership said they were “disgusted” by the comments and rival councillors have called on Mr Mayzes to resign.
