Council to sell off sites to save cash
9:00am Friday 11th October 2013 in News
COUNCIL offices across the Tendring district are being sold off to save taxpayers’ money.
The axe will fall on the offices at Waddesdon Road in Dovercourt, Weeley, and Westleigh House and Clay Hall in Clacton.
Waddesdon Road was a cash office, but closed 18 months ago.
Bosses at Tendring Council decided to centralise operations in Clacton at a board meeting last Friday in an effort to cut running costs.
