Health centre applies to extend its premises
3:00pm Sunday 13th October 2013 in News
A HEALTH centre has submitted expansion plans after patient numbers soared.
The Riverside Health Care Centre in Manningtree, has applied to extend its current building, in Station Road, providing additional consulting rooms, support facilities and a new entrance.
It currently has four consulting rooms and nurse rooms and wants to extend this to seven.
The health centre currently has a portakabin to provide extra resources however this will be removed if planning permission is given.
The application said: “The current building is not large enough to serve the community and even with a portakabin to provide additional resources there is simply not enough space.
“A greater capacity for additional patients is required to deal with an increasing population in Manningtree and the surrounding area.”
