LAND near Horsley Cross has been included in a planning blueprint for the future – despite previous calls to axe it.
Land off the A120 was earmarked for employment in Tendring Council’s local plan.
In October it was recommended the land be removed after a consultation suggested it was there was already an excess of employment land in the district.
However the council’s own scrutiny committee recommended the proposed development should not be dropped.
But Tendring Council’s Cabinet maintained the removal of the land was justified.
Now councillors have voted put the land back into the plan which will go out to public consultation in the New Year.
Developers want to build Tendring Europark on farmland to the south-west of Horsley Cross.
